We would like to thank all the players who came to the tryouts as all the players showed the hustle and poise that WSJ players are known for. Now, it is time to congratulate the players selected to our 2016-2017 All Net Teams.
A link to the teams is below:
To the extent players decline All Net offers there may be movement between teams and additional players may be called up.
All Net players should review the All Net Player Commitment Form which can be found at the attached link:
All Net Costs
The treasurer will invoice the All Net players starting tonight. Please pay the invoice ASAP and in no event no later than Sunday, September 25, 2016 so that we can confirm the All Net teams.
All Net costs are as follows:
- Boys All Grades: $650
- Girls All Grades: $550
In addition, as discussed at the All Net Callbacks, to the extent a Boys All Net Team has a non-parent head coach, the parents will be paying that coach his stipend this year – which is $1,500 per coach.
How to Try Out for a Non-Local Chapter All Net Team
Any boy player who wishes to try out for another chapter’s All Net team must contact the WSJ Chapter Director at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to attending such non-local try out and obtain a “try out waiver.” Requests for any try out waivers for this upcoming weekend must be received by 5 pm on Friday. Girl players do not need try out waivers, but should notify immediately the Chapter Director if they are selected to non-local All Net team.
Division Evaluations – October 2, 2016
All players that were not selected to an All Net team need to attend Division Evaluations which will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Monroe Gym. A separate announcement will be made regarding specific times for each Division.
We have over 35 division coaches and assistant coaches that have cleared their day of conflicts to attend Division Evaluations. So while we have one make up night for each Boys division, we cannot guarantee that the coaches will be able to attend the make-up session which disrupts the integrity of the Division draft. Any player that intends to miss Division Evaluations on Sunday, October 2, 2016 must pre-clear such miss with the Boys Player Agent (email@example.com) or Girls Player Agent (firstname.lastname@example.org), as the case may be, in advance. There is no formal make up session for the girls and any missing girl player should plan to attend the corresponding boys make up session.
All Division players must have paid all their registration fees and have been verified as WSJ eligible players prior to Division Evaluations. Any player who misses Division Evaluations may be dropped from the program.
In order to maintain the integrity of the Division draft, we cannot accommodate “friend requests” absent extenuating circumstances. Siblings will of course be placed on the same team, as will head coach and assistant coach players.
We continue to pull players off waitlist as spots open up. In the alternative, parents are advised to look at our neighboring chapters (in particular Saratoga) and register with such chapters. Such players will ultimately need a waiver to play in the non-local chapter which we will provide if such player is accepted into the non-local chapter.
