Programs
West San Jose NJB offers several basketball programs for girls and boys in our area:
All-Net
This program has All-Net (Select) teams for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls (eight teams total). Players are selected through tryouts in early October. The All-Net program is for players who have a highly developed skill level and will be playing other All-Net teams in four seven minute stop clock quarters. All-Net teams play a 14 game regular season plus playoffs. Players who do not make All-Net teams are eligible to play in our Division program, which has postseason playoffs and All Star teams. See the All-Net Program page for more details.
Division
Our Division program separate for boys and girls and divided into three age groups: Division 1 (7th/8th grade), Division 2 (5th/6th grade) and Division 3 (3rd/4th grade). ALL players must be at evaluations to be drafted onto balanced teams. To achieve this objective, requests are not considered to play with friends or for car pooling. Only the head coach’s child is guaranteed to be on a given team. Each player in the division program plays at least two full periods per game. Division play is five eight minute running clock periods. Each team plays ten regular season games plus playoffs from December through March. See the Division Program page for more details.
Spring League
Spring league is handled by the Silicon Valley Chapter. Please visit: http://svnjb.d4sportsclub.com/pagex.aspx?id=15
High School
NJB also offers a program for High School players. This program is intended for those boys who are not playing for their high school team. (In fact, CCS rules state that players cannot play for their school and an outside league at the same time.) Registration for the NJB High School program is timed to occur after the local schools have made their cuts, usually in mid November. Typically we field a couple of teams at both the JV (9th/10th grade) and Varsity (11th/12th) levels. See the High School Program page for more details.
