High School Program

West San Jose NJB offers a program for High School players. This program is intended for those boys who are not playing for their high school team. (In fact, CCS rules state that players cannot play for their school and an outside league at the same time.) Registration for the NJB High School program is timed to occur after the local schools have made their cuts, usually in mid November.

Our program has two levels of play:

  • Junior Varsity: 9th/10th grades
  • Varsity: 11th/12th grades

These teams practice one to two times a week and play games on Sundays. There are 2 games in December, 8 in January/February, then a season-ending tournament.

The High School Program games are played with normal high school rules.  There are four quarters and open substitution.  The Junior Varsity teams play four seven (7) minute quarters, and the Varsity plays four eight (8) minute quarters. The one exception from high school rules is that there is no shot clock.

Unlike the Division and All-Net programs, the High School Program does not have any boundaries.  The players are able to select the Chapter that has room for them or is most convenient due to its location. Players may sign up as individuals and indicate if they have a coach or player preference.

Step 1: Register Online

For those returning from last year, we are using the same online system (Clubspaces); make sure to sign in using the same email account you used previously. New parents should register new accounts.

  2. Sign in as a new or returning member and register your player(s)
  3. On the right hand side select “WSJ NJB High School 2011″ Register Now
  4. At the end of registration, click the “Register Now and Pay Later” button
  5. Return to this page

Step 2: Fees The cost for this year is $250 which includes a new uniform. Note that coaches may need to collect an additional fee to cover gym rentals for practice.The fees this year are being collected by PayPal. You don’t need to have a PayPal account to use a credit card for payment.

Step 3: Paperwork Collection

Once the player is assigned to a team, submit the following documents to the coach to complete registration:

  • Signed NJB registration/waiver/emergency form (click here for help finding it)
  • Current grades/progress report
  • Copy of birth certificate for each player

 

Registration is not complete until the payment and all paperwork are received.
